Here comes On Their Shoulders Show; (OTS Show). In order to understand well all about it, it has been thought good to answer some basic questions that people would normally ask themselves and found to be helpful as follows;

What is OTS Show?

On Their Shoulders Show is the platform SHOW that hosts inspiration media, specifically for students in Food Science and Technology by sharing testimonies and experiences with people in (Food Science and Technology) related business or entities/enterprises. 

What is the purpose of OTS Show?

OTS Show envisions at:

1. Having students with NO REGRETS OF BEING ORIENTED IN FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY where THE MAJORITY has to be PROUD and be able to reach out success in pursuing food science and technology related careers. 
2. Increasing awareness of food science and technology hence having an increased number of students applying for it willingly for university studies.

OTS Show for Who?

The establishment of OTS show was targeting at Food Science and Technology students in awakening the value within them as they were likely to not know how much highly important they are in the life of people starting from their local areas. But from the academic year of 2017-18, after being launched in BUSOGO Campus and after being accepted to work as other clubs in the campus, the scope of operation widened. Students from other departments (especially from Agri-business) were involved since then.

What do we do in OTS Show?

• We invite experts in the field of Food science and Technology as well as in Agri-business. 
• We cooperate and partner with our surroundings for community outreaches

Where is OTS Show located (where does it take place) ?

Currently the show is held within Busogo campus. However, six episodes of the show were held in NYARUGENGE campus before the department was reoriented to the aforementioned campus.

When did OTS Show started?

The Show was established at the end of the academic year 2015/2016 when the students who initiated the show were in the Second Year, led by Christophe Habimana. The first show episode was held on September 30, 2016 with Mr. Jean Bosco Micomyiza (FST Staff member) as the first invitee.

Why should we care and bring up OTS Show?

We believe that we are where we are in life by choosing so. It is in that context, after recognizing how the role of a Food Scientist in our society was being confused with others which would led Food Scientists to miss the role and placement of their influence in the community, we chose to raise our voice and show up. We decided to clarify and pave the way towards our value and function recognition into the community and OTS Show was one of good channels through which to pass.
